Numerology and Names

  • Five is the number of change, and names in this category often relate to adventure, new challenges, and risk taking.

Fives are the free spirits of the world, with a natural curiosity that leads them to readily embrace and even seek out challenges and new situations. They are bright and very capable, but can be reckless and take needless risks. Their need for freedom can translate into restlessness, flightiness, or hedonism. Fives tend to do well in professions that challenge them mentally and that deal with change. They are good reporters, aviators, detectives, lobbyists, and stockbrokers.

Name Dropping

Are there such things as truly fortunate or unfortunate names that you should stay away from using? Not really, although at one time members of the British royal family believed that John was an unlucky name. The French aristocracy similarly considered Henry unlucky for them.

These names are also considered fortunate or lucky, as their bearers often attract wealth and property. The six personality is considered to be creative, sensitive, and imaginative, with a "sixth sense" that allows them to see the whole picture better than others do. On the downside, sixes can be egotistical, insisting that their needs are met before others. They have a strong need for recognition and can take things very personally if they're slighted for any reason, real or imaginary. Sixes are also noted for being very romantic. They do well as artists, healthcare workers, photographers, and other careers where their intuition and sensitivity can be exhibited.

  • Seven has always been considered a mystical number, and it has great religious meaning as well.

People who bear names with this number are often very intuitive and introspective, and they can be deeply religious. They also have a strong eye for detail, and they excel at any job that requires it. They can appear somewhat mysterious, as they tend to live in their own worlds, and they can get anxious or upset if things don't go the way they've planned. They make good counselors, healers, and astrologers as they often see things differently than most people do.
