Test Your Home for Radon

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can increase the risk of lung cancer and other respiratory problems. You can purchase a radon detection kit for your home at your local hardware store or other retail outlets. For more information, call the National Safety Council's Radon Hotline at (800) 767-7236. After you purchase the kit, read the instructions with your children and have them help set up the radon detection devices.
