Mothers and Daughters: Do You Pass the Friendship Test?

How good of friends are you with your mother or your daughter? This little test will give you the answer and let you know in what areas you are deficient. Simply put a checkmark in the appropriate column.

Most of the Time Hardly Ever
1. Do your know what the other is thinking? ________ ________
2. Are you able to anticipate ways to make life more pleasant and pleasurable for the other? ________ ________
3. Do you act on this information? ________ ________
4. Do you enjoy doing things together? ________ ________
5. Do you find pleasure in talking and sharing life with each other? ________ ________
6. Do you feel free to be yourself? ________ ________
7. Do you think your mother or daughter feels free to be herself with you? ________ ________
8. Can you laugh and have fun together? ________ ________
9. Can you each be the teacher? ________ ________
10. Do you find gratification and pleasure in showing interest in the other person's life and accomplishments? ________ ________

If you are wise and lucky enough to have achieved a friendship that rated 10 checks in the left-hand column, you have something very special to celebrate and savor. If, on the other hand, your checkmarks are lined up unanimously in the right-hand column, you have not yet found the prize package at the bottom of your Cracker Jack box.
