Dear Parents,

Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at FamilyEducation.com! Thanksgiving is a time for both family reunions and delicious food. Cook up a storm this month with our recipes for turkey, sides, and dessert.

While the adults are busy with dinner preparations, the kids may get bored waiting around. To prevent a holiday nightmare, keep them occupied with games and activities they all can enjoy.

While traveling this holiday, don't get caught unprepared on the road with thousands of others. Start packing early, and leave extra room for all of those baby items. If you're flying, make sure that your infant is old enough to travel by plane, and that you have enough activities to keep your preschooler busy.

Join in this discussion on our Message Boards about other people disciplining your children:

"I have an issue with my sister-in-law. She seems to take it upon herself to scold my kids, even if I am there in the room. She is constantly giving my husband and me parenting advice, though she has no children of her own...I have a real issue with her reprimanding my children, cutting my sons' bangs when she thinks they're too long, or not allowing them to play with their toys until they've cleaned their plates."
