Stop Asking, "Why Me?"

When Lady Luck seems to have taken a vacation, and one thing after another goes wrong, you may be tempted to repeatedly ask, "Why me?" Unfortunately, staying with that question too long will keep you stuck right where you are. Instead, accept what is and move on.

  • Consider one recent disappointment or upset. Is there anything you learned from it?
  • Given that bad things happen to good people, accept that this isn't your fault or anyone else's. It just is.
  • Are you ready to accept this challenge and do whatever you can to move on? If so, what can you do right now to minimize any damage and begin your rebound?
When life doesn't go according to your plans, consider that the alternate path just might lead to something even better.
