Shake Your Bootie

When life feels like a grind, change the rhythm. Put on some toe-tapping music and get movin'. Hum, whistle along, or sing out loud. It's difficult to stay down when the joy of music surrounds you.

  • Turn up the radio, pop in a CD, or just hum a favorite tune.
  • All alone, behind closed doors, let your happy feet soar. Grab a partner (an infant, pet, friend, or coworker), if you wish, to spread the joy. Kick off your shoes and shake your bootie for one full tune.
  • Snap your fingers, jump and shout, knock yourself out.
Whatever your mood, sing, dance, hum, or whistle. Before you know it, others will be commenting on your upbeat attitude.
