Plant A Tree

Find a vacant area in your backyard or near your house where you and your children can plant a tree. Not only does planting a tree beautify the area, it also provides a home for wildlife and absorbs carbon dioxide, a major cause of global warming. Visit a local plant nursery or garden center with your children to pick out a tree that will grow well in your yard. Children will enjoy helping plant the tree and watching it grow, as well as all the birds and animals it will attract.
