Estimated time:
30 minutes to make. 10 minutes to cook.

Number of servings:
2 to 3 dozen

Ingredients: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
1/2 cup Crisco
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 and 1/4 cup flour
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400

Cream Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg and then mix well. Add flour and salt. (You can add more flour if needed.) Add soda, water, and vanilla and mix well. (It always seems to taste better if you use your muscle and a spoon.) Stir in nuts (optional) and chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Watch the first batch!
