Description of technique:
It? normal for kids to want to explore on their own and have a sense of independence. As children grow, they need to leave the nest and test the waters outside their own world.

Take an active role in creating spaces for your children to expand their awareness. One fun way to do this is to take your child into nature; let him or her lead you in a hike. Hand over the map/compass and allow your child to make decisions on which route to take. Create opportunities where you and your child can play out these mini independent exercises. What other adventures can you go on? Design special outings where your children lead you into new places of discovery. Have fun growing together.
