Description of technique:
Your child is requesting a change as a growth spurt is underway. Try to create something tangible to focus their attention on. Create a plan or project that you can do together. Why not do some transforming in the bedroom? Children love to recreate their space, and as they grow, it helps them to gain a sense of self by choosing how the room will look and feel.

Explore options with them. Maybe they would like a painting on a wall, possible images on the ceiling. If your budget is lower, buy new sheets or a comforter in your child? favorite color. Having a specially designed space gives your child ownership and comfort. How wonderful that it is under your roof!
