Description:
Golden Gate Park is the largest urban national park in the world totaling more than 76,000 acres of land and water. There is something for everyone at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA), rain or shine.
Scenic walks and hiking are enjoyed all over the park, particularly in the gardens that include a flower conservatory and a beautiful Japanese tea garden. You can rent rowboats, pedal boats and motorboats for lake activities and the sporting facilities include horseback riding, softball, golf, and much more. The park also has several cultural programs, museums and an aquarium, making it a great place to be even on days when the fog rolls in.
