Best time to visit:
All but summer weekends

Time needed for trip:
Half day

Description:
Bring your bicycle, car, or just your pair of sturdy walking shoes aboard and cross the Delaware Bay to Cape May, NJ. In the summer, the main cabin is air-conditioned for your comfort. Children will enjoy riding and looking for fish and marine life. We saw horseshoe crabs on a recent ride! Food can be purchased on the ferry, but it's a little pricey. There's a gift shop and a television playing children's videos for those who might not be interested in the views.

Other comment or suggestions:
If you are crossing with your car, I recommend that you make a reservation in advance. Otherwise, you take a chance that you might not be able to cross at your preferred departure time. They do take cars and passengers without a reservation, on a "First Come, First Served" basis.
