Description:
Simple pleasures make the best memories. And playing in with your kids at the beach has got to be one of the top ten ways to spend the day together.

It doesn't take much to enjoy the sand and surf. You can take a long walk together collecting shells and rocks. Bring along a bird book and identify the different species of bird life. Ride the waves together. Build a sandcastle.

Depending on the ages of your children, you'll probably want to bring along some sand toys. Top on the list should be pails and shovels, a frisbee, a volleyball (there may be a net already available), and your favorite paddle or ball game. Cruise through your favorite toy store and see what other items interest you.

Don't forget the sunscreen and never leave your children unattended in the water.
