3 Star Activity Rating

Appropriate age group:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Time needed:
Weekend

Type of weather:
Rainy

Description:
When my kids were little, they would find a blanket, position it over a table or (horrors!) my desk, arrange bath towels for pathways, doorways, etc., then drag in only the necessities - the walkman, books, drinks, snacks, the dog, assorted toys, any friends that might wander over and eventually Mom. Many a cold rainy day was spent "camping" under furniture!

Other comments or suggestions:
One Christmas we decided to get the kids a real tent that could be popped up easily. Naturally, they lived in it through New Years, and then it was never used again. There's a lesson in there!
