Description of technique:
Talk with your children, listen to them, support them, teach them what you feel are good ways to respond, believe them when they tell you, don't minimize them, and know that what is happening can be traumatic and life altering for them. I know personally because my daughter may never be the same!

Go to the school - talk with teachers, the counselor, bus driver, etc... Take it up with the administration if necessary, use parent mediation, demand policies be enforced or created if none exist for this in your school.

Enroll in martial arts to build confidence, go to counseling, etc, etc, etc...

Try it all at least once, but don't let it drag on. If it's been going on for a while then take action now! Don't wait! If you have to transfer or homeschool then do so & protect your child.

Keep a written record of everything - every incident, names, dates, what was said, list of witnesses - list everything you have tried, who you talked to, what response you received, etc... If you don't get satisfaction from the school find a lawyer who specializes in children's rights (some will do pro bono work for these kind of cases) and tell the school of your intentions. Do this even if you pull your child out of the school - sometimes this is the only way to help make things better for all those who will be victimized in the future!

Bullying may be one child picking on another. It can also be an entire student body ostrasizing a single child. It can involve everything from getting the ongoing cold shoulder, name calling or other verbal attacks, or physical assaults. Aggression builds and gets worse over time. DON'T SUBJECT YOUR CHILD TO BEING TORTURED!

Age group this technique is effective for:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond
